Who Me?

Hey all! It’s me Miranda.

I’m not great at talking about myself but here’s my best shot.

The Basics:

• I have a PhD in Biology.
• I was a high school science teacher for eight years. I got burned out and quit, which seems to be a common theme in education right now.
• I am currently doing freelance writing work and volunteering in the science education world.
• I love the three R’s – Reading, Writing, and Running (I also like reducing, reusing, and recycling – I did teach environmental science after all).
• I love writing short stories and might just get up the courage to start on that novel idea I have.

This blog is a place designed to challenge me in creative pursuits and lets me document my growth as a writer, and really as a person. I’m looking forward to sharing it all with you!
